  • Hai T. Ton, President

    Hai Ton is a Senior Consultant with ThoughtWorks, a global systems integration consultancy where he leads Fortune 500 clients in instituting lean software project management techniques. Hai currently serves as  President of the Union of North American Vietnamese Students Associations (uNAVSA) and is one of the Executive Directors of this year's uNAVSA conference. Hai is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he was extensively involved in leadership roles within the Asian Pacific American student community and instructed on the school’s Tae Kwon Do team. He enjoys fishing, guitar and further exploring Vietnamese cuisine in his spare time.

  • Minh Thanh Nguyen , External Vice-President

    Minh T. Nguyen was born and reared in New Orleans, Louisiana. He recently graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a double major in Management and Marketing and was involved with the Loyola Asian Student Organization. He is currently involved with the Vietnamese American Community in Louisiana, along with the Vietnamese American Young Leaders Association of New Orleans (VAYLA-NO) in conjunction with the Mary Queen of Vietnam Church developing youth programs and as a representative for Vietnamese American communities. He has been a long term advocate in creating a voice for Asian Americans in the Gulf Coast region.

  • Huy Ngoc Tran , Internal Vice-President

    Huy Tran was born and raised in California, getting involved with the Vietnamese Student Association at San Jose State University as a freshman in 2001. Even after graduating from San Jose State University in 2005, he has remained active with the VSA, serving in both the United Vietnamese Student Associations of Northern California and the Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations. Currently, Huy's goal is to attend law school and is preparing for his LSATs.

  • Aileen Pham Hoang Ai Lien, Treasurer

    Aileen Pham began her involvement with the Vietnamese community at the University of Southern California as a member of the Vietnamese Student Association. She spent her wonderful years as a Trojan majoring in business administration with an emphasis in East Asian Studies and a concentration in Real Estate Finance. In her senior year at USC, Aileen was elected Co-President and Co-Inter Collegiate Council representative because of her dedication and leadership capabilities. As ICC rep, she helped to increase USC’s VSA involvement within Southern California UVSA and also became personally involved within UVSA as a staff member. Through UVSA, she learned of uNAVSA and decided to join the enthusiastic team of staff members for the 2006 uNAVSA conference as the Sponsorship Committee Director. At the conference, Aileen was elected onto the executive board as the Treasurer for 2006-2007. Besides staying actively involved in UVSA and uNAVSA, Aileen spends her time teaching Hot Yoga, developing entrepreneurial opportunities, and staying fit.

  • Victor Nguyen-Lieu Huu Thinh, Secretary

    Victor Nguyen-Lieu will enter his third year of studies at California State University - Los Angeles in fall of 2006. He is working towards B.S. degrees in International Business and Business Pre-Legal Arts, with plans of applying to a joint JD/MBA graduate studies program. Within the past year, Victor has been involved with the organization of the annual VAHSA Summer Leadership Camp and Southern California UVSA Summer Leadership Camp, the 24th annual Southern California UVSA Tet Festival, the uNAVSA/Southern California UVSA/VietACT "WALK AGAINST TRAFFICKing" campaign, and most recently the uNAVSA-3 conference hosted in San Jose, CA. It is his hopes to continue a long lasting partnership with the Vietnamese American community as he continues on his path into his professional career. Victor is a founding member and former officer of the CSULA College Republicans and he currently serves as president of the CSULA Vietnamese Student Association and public relations representative of the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations of Southern California.
